CMF Tungsten Hooklink Sinkers

CMF Tungsten Hooklink Sinkers are compact, high-density rubber or polymer weights impregnated with tungsten that slide directly onto fishing hooklinks to pin your line flat to the bottom.

Benefits of Small Tungsten Hooklink Sinkers

  • Pins the Rig Down: They hug lake or river contours much better than standard lightweight lines, preventing the hooklink from bowing up and spooking wary fish like carp.
  • Compact Size: Tungsten is significantly denser than lead or standard rubber, meaning a small tungsten weight packs a heavier profile in a tiny, inconspicuous footprint.
  • Superior to Putty: Unlike traditional rig putty, small tungsten sinkers will not fall off during a powerful cast or when you are playing and landing a fish.
  • Color Matching: They are usually manufactured in natural camouflage tones (such as weed green or silt brown) to blend seamlessly into the underwater substrate.
  • Reusable: You can slide them off and transfer them across multiple hooklinks rather than throwing them away.

How to Use Them

  1. Slide onto the Hooklink: Take the small tungsten sinker off its storage wire loop and slide it directly onto your finished hooklink material (fluorocarbon, mono, or coated/uncoated braid).
  2. Position the Weight: Slide the sinker down to your desired spot—commonly placed a few centimetres above the hook or at a strategic point on the boom section of a rig.
  3. Check the Grip: Ensure the sinker grips the line tightly so it does not slide out of place when casting or dropping through the water column.
  4. Conceal the Presentation: Pair the sinker colour with your local lakebed (green for weed, brown for silt/clay) so the entire section near the hook stays hidden from fish.
