JAG Lockdown 316 Stainless

The JAG Lockdown 316 Stainless is a high-grade Stainless Steel rear rod grip system designed to securely hold carp and specimen fishing rods—especially during “locked-up” or snag-fishing situations where a savage bite could pull the rod off the rest.

What It Does (Use)

• Interchangeable Grip Inserts: It uses soft-grip rubber inserts (sold separately) that let you choose how tightly the rear rest holds your rod handle.
• Custom Sizing: Available in Small (for abbreviated and shrink-wrap handles) and Large (for full Duplon and cork handles), with specific inner diameter options for an exact fit.
• High-Strength Hold: Tested to withstand up to three times the test curve on a direct pull without slipping.
• No Washers Needed: Features a built-in alignment system that avoids the need for rubber O-rings or flat washers.

How to Install It

1. Install the Soft Grip Insert:
   • Moisten the small rubber grommet bits at the ends of the chosen insert.
   • Pop the insert firmly into the holes on either side of the JAG Lockdown body.
2. Pull or adjust the soft rubber insert until it seats flush and tight.
3. Attach to a Buzz Bar or Bankstick:
   • Thread the base of the Lockdown onto your buzz bar or bankstick.
   • Insert the provided Allen key into the bolt or nut at the bottom of the unit.
   • Tighten it down using the long section of the Allen key to align it straight.
   • Use the smaller section or final turn to lock it down firmly in position with zero wobble.
4. Fine-Tune Alignment:
   • Because it relies on the internal Allen key adjustment rather than O-rings, you can face the rest straight forward on the first try without over-tightening or under-tightening the thread.
